RULE 9.1 REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Members of the State Bar of Georgia shall notify the State Bar of Georgia of:
(a) all other jurisdictions in which the member is admitted to the practice of law and the dates of admission; and
(b) the conviction of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving moral
turpitude where the underlying conduct relates to the lawyer's fitness
to practice law, within sixty days of conviction.
The maximum penalty for a violation of this Rule is a public reprimand.
Comment
[1] The State Bar of Georgia is the regulatory authority created by the
Supreme Court of Georgia to oversee the practice of law in Georgia. In
order to provide effective disciplinary programs, the State Bar of
Georgia needs information about its members.
