Section 1. Effective Date for Implementation of Article Six

The first elections held pursuant to these bylaws shall be held in 1978. All persons who are serving in an elected position under any past bylaws and whose terms do not expire at the meeting on which these bylaws are adopted shall continue in office or position until such time as their regular term expires. All offices and positions becoming vacant at the meeting at which said first elections are held shall be filled according to these bylaws. The first election of the nonresident member and nonresident alternate member held pursuant to these Bylaws shall be held in 1991. The president shall have the authority to appoint a nonresident member and nonresident alternate to serve on the Executive Council until the 1991 election.
