Section 5. Terms on Executive Council
Each member of the Executive Council shall hold office for the
following terms until such member's successor is elected or appointed
and qualified.
(a) The president, president-elect, secretary, treasurer, editor of the
Young Lawyers Division Newsletter, Presidents or chairpersons of local
chapters of the Young Lawyers Division directors appointed by the
president in accordance with these bylaws and all chairpersons and vice
chairpersons of committees shall serve for a period of time concurrent
with the term of their respective positions or until their successors
have been duly chosen and qualified.
(b) Each selected member and alternate member of the Executive Council
representing a Congressional District, and the selected nonresident and
nonresident alternate member of the Executive Council, shall hold
office for a period of two years or until their successors have been
duly chosen and qualified.
(c) Each member at large of the Executive Council shall hold office for
a period of one year or until their successors have been duly chosen
and qualified.
(d) Notwithstanding the above, any member of the Executive Council who
shall fail to meet the attendance requirement set forth in Article
VIII, Section 5 shall be automatically removed from office, unless that
requirement is waived by a majority vote of the Executive Council.
