Section 8. Declaration of Results of Elections
(a) The candidates receiving the greatest number of votes in the
elections for members from Congressional Districts to the Executive
Council shall be declared elected;
(b) The candidates receiving the second greatest number of votes in
elections for members from the Congressional Districts to the Executive
Council shall be declared elected as alternate members;
(c) The candidates receiving the twelve greatest number of votes in the
elections for members at large to the Executive Council shall be
declared elected;
(d) The candidate receiving the greatest number of votes in the
election for nonresident member to the Executive Council shall be
declared elected, and the candidate receiving the second greatest
number of votes in the election for nonresident member to the Executive
Council shall be declared the nonresident alternate member;
(e) In the event two or more candidates receive the same highest number
of votes in any election (except elections for members at large unless
ties exist for the twelfth highest number of votes) the members present
at the annual meeting by vote shall determine which of such tying
candidates shall be declared elected.
