Formal Advisory Opinion Request No. 06-R1
Members of the State Bar of Georgia are hereby NOTIFIED that the Formal Advisory Opinion Board has WITHDRAWN Proposed Formal Advisory Opinion Request No. 06-R1 effective September 17, 2009. This proposed opinion (also referred to as Formal Advisory Opinion No. 09-1), originally scheduled to be filed with the Supreme Court of Georgia on or after June 15, 2009, will not be filed.
Pursuant to Rule 4-403(d) of the Rules and Regulations of the State Bar of Georgia, Proposed Formal Advisory Opinion No. 06-R1 was published in the June 2009 issue of the Georgia Bar Journal for 2nd publication. The Notice, published along with the proposed opinion, indicated the proposed opinion would be filed with the Supreme Court of Georgia on or after June 15, 2009.
Following its publication, but prior to it being filed with the Supreme Court, the Formal Advisory Opinion Board reconsidered Proposed Formal Advisory Opinion No. 06-R1. Upon further review, the Formal Advisory Opinion Board has decided to withdraw the proposed opinion. No formal advisory opinion addressing the issues raised in the request will be drafted by the Formal Advisory Opinion Board at this time.
