To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to congratulate Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney Rick Currie on the announcement of his upcoming retirement and thank him for his service to the people of Bacon, Brantley, Charlton, Coffee, Pierce and Ware counties.

In addition to his 32 years of service as a prosecutor, including 19 as district attorney, Mr. Currie has served the legal profession as president of the Georgia District Attorneys Association and the public as a member of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.

All Georgia lawyers should applaud the exemplary public service career of Rick Currie, which has vividly demonstrated his commitment to promoting the cause of justice, upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of all citizens. We wish him well in all future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Robin Frazer Clark
President, State Bar of Georgia
