GLSP CAMPAIGN FOR
GEORGIA'S FUTURE
|
|
|
These are hard times.
Georgia’s unemployment rate is above 8 percent, while the national
rate is 7.2 percent. More Georgians are falling into poverty every
day through loss of jobs, housing and incomes. The Georgia Legal
Services Program (GLSP) is responding to higher levels of
unemployment and resulting claims, and urgent needs for food
stamps, Medicaid and other benefits for out-of-work clients.
For families facing
foreclosures, GLSP is protecting their homes through its new partnership
with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to provide legal
help. GLSP is obtaining economic stability for domestic violence
victims and exploited seniors. This is your opportunity to extend
your hand and turn despair into hope for Georgians in crisis.
Rededicate your commitment to the cause of justice by making your
gift to GLSP easily through a secure server online or by mailing your gift to Georgia Legal
Services, 104 Marietta St., Suite 250, Atlanta, GA 30303. Make
checks payable to Georgia Legal Services. Significant gifts will be
recognized in the Georgia Bar Journal.
