Fulton
County State Court's Internet Access to Case Information
The Fulton County State Court Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce that
its civil docket entries and some criminal information may be viewed
online. Using state and magistrate civil case numbers, viewers can see
dockets indicating activity such as answers and service information,
hearing schedules, as well as the judge assigned to the case and the
parties. Using state court criminal case numbers, viewers can see the
parties, the assigned judge and hearing schedules only. When entering the
case number on any case, do not use the alphabetical judge code suffix.
The online
access works best with Internet Explorer 6 and it may take a few minutes on
the first login for the PC to download necessary software. Before your
first login, check to see if you have any Oracle Jinitiator programs on
your PC, and if you do, login as administrator and delete them and then
return to connect to www.fultoncjis.com.

Law
Practice Management Enews Tip
Take Your Backups Off-Site!
If you are storing your computer backup data in a "fire safe"
commonly found in retail stores, you are not necessarily safe, especially
if you leave the files at the office every night. Most models of portable
fire safes will only protect the contents for about an hour. And some don't
protect against moisture damage. Think about what happens when the water
from your sprinkler system or firemen's hoses hits that heat and flame -
poof, steam. Don't forget that moisture, along with intense heat, will
cause havoc with your storage media.
