Mark your calendars now for the 2008 Spring BOG Meeting, May 2-4, in
Asheville, N.C. The hotel cut-off date is Friday, March 28, and the
registration cut-off date is Friday, April 25. Download the brochure

YLD Ethics and Professionalism Award
Nominations
The Ethics and Professionalism Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of
the State Bar of Georgia invites nominations for a young lawyer who
demonstrates/exemplifies professional and ethical conduct in the practice
of law. The deadline for submissions is April 9. Pease visit the website
for guidelines and a nomination form.
Local Bar Awards - Call for Entries
Each year, the State Bar of Georgia's Local Bar Activities Committee
sponsors the Local Bar Awards, recognizing excellence in local and circuit
bar associations. These awards are intended to encourage local and
voluntary bars to promote activities within their communities relating to
the improvement of the administration of justice, the objectives of the
State Bar of Georgia and the image of lawyers. The awards are presented at
the State Bar's Annual Meeting.
The deadline for submission is May 9 and
we encourage every local bar to submit an entry. Download the guidelines

Lawyer's Foundation of Georgia 2008 Silent
Auction
The Lawyers Foundation of Georgia is seeking items for its annual Silent
Auction to be held June 5-7, in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the
State Bar of Georgia. The deadline for donations is May 15. Download a silent
auction form, or contact Lauren Larmer Barrett at lfg_lauren@bellsouth.net for
more information.
Free Online Legal Research Offered Through
the State Bar
Did you know that Casemaker, an online legal research tool, is available
free of charge to all Bar members as part of their membership? Come learn
about this powerful resource at one of our training sessions. Classes will
be offered at the Bar Center on Tuesday, March 18 and 25, from 10 a.m. to
12 p.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. Each session is limited to the first 10
attendees. Download the registration
form and fax it to Kim Henry at 404-287-8394. Please register for the
class by 12 p.m. the day before the class is scheduled.
The Camden Co. Bar Association is sponsoring Casemaker Training on April 4
at 2 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Community College Camden Campus Computer
Lab in Kingsland, GA. Contact Bert Guy of the Camden Co. Bar Association at

Need a bigger font for easier reading of a document or a webpage? Hold down
the control key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to easily enlarge
the text, zooming in. This works with True Type fonts, so it will work most
of the time.
