    Lawyers for Literacy
Everybody Wins! Atlanta is hosting the Fifth Annual Lawyers for Literacy Trivia Challenge on June 6. Up to sixteen teams of Atlanta’s finest legal minds will compete for the Challenge Cup, and the ‘trivial honor’ that their firm dominates the realm of random and obscure facts. Each team’s $1,500 entry fee directly supports the Everybody Wins! Power Lunch. The Power Lunch serves disadvantaged public elementary school students in Title I schools with a unique, one-on-one reading program helping them to achieve greater academic and personal success by reading books for pleasure for 30 minutes per week during the student's lunch break. For more information about this event, contact Terri Beck, Everybody Wins! Atlanta, at 404-943-0404 or tbeck@everybodywinsatlanta.org.

Assistance To Those Affected By Kansas Tornado
Ninety-five percent of the prairie town of Greensburg, KS, was destroyed on May 4 by an F-5 tornado. Because of the outpouring of support from Georgia attorneys after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, we are once again giving our members a way to help those who need it most. Please visit the Red Cross website for more information.

    Lawyers Foundation Silent Auction
The Lawyers Foundation Annual Silent Auction is just a month away. Although the foundation has received some fabulous donations, we still need more items to make this event a rousing success. Please talk to your vendors, clients and friends and help us round up more donations. Auction items vary widely and range from fine dining and vacation getaways, to technological tools and sports memorabilia and events.

The Silent Auction benefits the Challenge Grant Program of the State Bar and the more you give, the more we can give. The deadline for donations is June 5. For more information about the Annual Silent Auction, call 404-659-6867, send an e-mail to lfg_lauren@bellsouth.net or download a donation form.
