DISASTER LAW RESOURCES

The State Bar Pro Bono Project has a number of disaster law resources that you can access to help your community recover from a disaster. Click here to learn more about these resources.

You may also join a disaster law listserv, which becomes quite busy during tornado and hurricane seasons here in Georgia. To join the listserv, send an empty e-mail to disasterlawga-subscribe@mail.lawhelp.org.

Please take a few moments of your scarce time to look over the resources and join the listserv.

You should consider creating your own family disaster plan on the Georgia Emergency Management Agency website.

YLD DISASTER LEGAL ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS

The YLD Disaster Legal Assistance Committee, in conjunction with the ABA/YLD and the Georgia Legal Services Program, has set up a disaster relief hotline to assist persons affected by the severe storms that have hit Georgia since March 26. To volunteer, please contact Amy Rene Stone (229-387-6488).
