    Attorney Coaches Needed for High School Mock Trial Program
    Several schools across Georgia are in need of attorney coaches for the upcoming High School Mock Trial Competition season. Working with these motivated students is a wonderful way to give back to your profession and help educate tomorrow’s lawyers. Please review the list of teams in need of coaches to see if there is an opening in your area.

    The deadline to volunteer is Nov. 10. Please note that CLE credit is available to volunteers participating in this program. For more information, contact Stacy Rieke at stacy@gabar.org or 404-527-8779.

    Midyear Meeting in Savannah, Ga., Jan. 18-20, 2007
    The 2007 State Bar of Georgia Midyear Meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Savannah on the Historic Riverfront in Savannah, Ga., on Jan. 18-20. The early bird cut-off date is Dec. 15. The hotel cut-off date is also Dec. 15, and the registration cut-off date is Jan. 5. See the 2007 Midyear Meeting Brochure for the registration form and additional details.

    Free Online Legal Research Offered Through the State Bar
    Did you know that Casemaker, an online legal research tool, is available free of charge to all Bar members as part of their membership? Come learn about this powerful resource at one of our trainings. Two Casemaker training classes will be offered at the Bar Center on Nov. 16 and again on Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Each session is limited to the first 10 attendees. Download the registration form and fax it to Kim Henry at 404-287-8394 by 12 p.m. the day before the class is scheduled.     Casemaker Training Offered in Augusta on Dec. 1
    A special Casemaker training session, sponsored by the Augusta Conference of African-American Attorneys, will be offered in Augusta on Dec. 1. To reserve your space or for more information, please contact Lourdes Coleman at 706-722-6881.

    Law Practice Management ENews Website
    The ABA Center for Professional Responsibility homepage provides free ethics and professionalism resources for lawyers. You can find an online version of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, links to many ethics and professionalism resources and various reports and studies. ABA Formal Ethics Opinions are available and access to the opinions is free for the first year after their issuance for ABA members. You can also purchase individual opinions for $7.50 each, become a member of the center for complementary copies of all ethics opinions or take advantage of their ethics opinions subscription service, delivered to you as they are issued. For a modest fee, the ETHICSearch Research Service provides staff lawyers to do the research for you.
