Juvenile Law Committee Officers
Kirsten Widner, JLC co- chair
Kirsten Widner is the Post Graduate Fellow in Law with the Barton Child Law and Policy Clinic at Emory University School of Law, where she works on policy projects related to abused, neglected, and court-involved children, and instructs law students in issues affecting these children. A recent graduate, Widner went to law school after a successful career in business to become a child advocate. She interned with organizations representing children in abuse and neglect and education cases throughout law school. She is a member of the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children and serves on the Board of Directors of Georgia Rescue and Restore.
Darice M. Good, JLC, JLC co-chair
Darice Good is a partner of Good & Lee, LLC. Good began her career in juvenile law as a Fulton County Public Defender representing juveniles in delinquency cases. Now she also represents parents and children in deprivations. Good is a member of the Parents Attorney Advocacy Committee and previously served as an Advisory Council Member for the Metro Youth Detention Center.
