Vacancy: Judge, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia

Notice is hereby given that applications for the vacant position of Judge, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia, are being accepted by the Federal Judicial Appointment Screening Committee appointed by U.S. Senators Johnny Isakson and David Perdue. 

Please download the questionnaire, which should be completed and returned to usscreeningcomm@mijs.com.

Members of the Bar can nominate themselves or another qualified person. The public can likewise submit nominations. Interviews by the committee are expected to be conducted after the submission date, Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. Interviewees will be notified of place and specific times. 

All completed questionnaires should be returned via email to the above address by 12 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. 

The committee reserves the right to consider applicants after the above submission date and schedule interviews as necessary to fulfill its charge from the senators. 

A similar procedure will be followed for U.S. Attorneys and other judicial vacancies.
