Motion to Amend the State Bar of Georgia Disciplinary Rules

Notice of Motion to Amend the Rules and Regulations of the State Bar of Georgia

No earlier than 30 days after the publication of this Notice in the Georgia Bar Journal, the State Bar of Georgia will file a Motion to Amend the Rules and Regulations for the Organization and Government of the State Bar of Georgia pursuant to Part V, Chapter 1 of said Rules, 2016-2017 State Bar of Georgia Directory and Handbook, p. H-7 (hereinafter referred to as "Handbook"). Click here to download and view the Motion to Amend 2017-3, the proposed changes to the State Bar of Georgia disciplinary rules, including the text of the proposed amendments. Any member of the State Bar of Georgia who wishes to obtain a printed copy of these proposed amendments may do so by sending such request to the following address:

Any member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia who desires to object to part or all of these proposed amendments to the Rules is reminded that he or she may only do so in the manner provided by Rule 5-102, Handbook, p. H-7. This Statement and the verbatim text of the proposed amendments are intended to comply with the notice requirements of Rule 5-101, Handbook, p. H-7.
